From the governance perspective, Bitcoin could be one of the most interesting cases for analysis. Bitcoin was designed to not have a centralized governance and this presents a very complex question: can Bitcoin be governed? And by this I mean not the surrounding interface or ecosystem of Bitcoin (exchanges, wallets, etc.) but Bitcoin itself. From the regulator perspective the question is almost ontological: if the proposed regulation fails it may be not because the regulation was imperfect or insufficient, but because Bitcoin presents a structural resistance to regulation that would make every regulation fail. Also, from Winner's perspective Bitcoin seems to have an internal political vision (distrust from governments and central banks): this makes me question if trying to regulate Bitcoin is not only a technical-regulatory challenge but also an ideological one. Thanks for the entrance, it is a really cool topic. Pablo.
